Membership in the Arkansas Historical Association is open to people of all backgrounds who are interested in Arkansas heritage and the constituent communities that make up the state's history. One of the benefits of membership is a subscription to the Arkansas Historical Quarterly. Published since 1942, each issue brings you stories about Arkansans of varied eras and backgrounds. The AR Historical Quarterly also periodically publishes special issues offering coverage of crucial themes or episodes in Arkansas history. Each Quarterly also includes book reviews, book and media notes, and news and notices of interest to members. Membership in the Arkansas Historical Association includes four issues of the AR Historical Quarterly per year, as well as the Association's newsletter.

In addition to receiving AR Historical Quarterly, members also have the opportunity to receive discounts on AHA books and videos, as well as invitations to special Arkansas heritage events offered by AHA.
